Adult Development & Behavioral Science Lab

Principal Investigator and Lab Director

Lisa Miller, PhD
Professor

Why do some individuals adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors while others do not?  I am interested in understanding the interplay among environmental, socioeconomic, and psychosocial factors that influence health behaviors, particularly in the areas of healthy eating and physical activity.  My research focuses on 1) examining how technology, in conjunction with user-centered design, supports health behaviors that promote well-being across adulthood, and 2) developing alternative, skill-based approaches for the prevention and management of age-related chronic conditions.
